Revisiting James Ibori's case. Such artistic perfection of corruption.

When you touch down at Abu Dhabi, as a well meaning Nigerian, you can't help but rain curses on the corrupt leaders sitting at the helm of affairs. To worsen the issue, Boko Haram's mission seems to be spreading like wildfire. The Niger delta should be one of the most prosperous regions on earth. One that could comfortably beat down a NY city, Geneva or Paris, given the amount of money that flows out from and into that region. It produces billions of pounds worth of oil, yet the poverty level of the masses is one of the worst in any region of Nigeria. While the people live in poverty, the riches are milked out to the elites, who jet in and out of the country like sunrise and sunset. How does one explain the life of a man who used to live modestly in London in the 1990s and a decade later, has assets and accounts containing 'unquantifiable amounts of money". That is the story of James Ibori. A Nollywood classic of rise from grass to grace, Nigerian Version. Lol.
But on a more serious note, what explanation can be given for all those funds if not one word___Looting! We all know how he started as a cashier at the Wickes store a London hardware and DIY store, how he was sacked for allowing his wife take from the store 200 pounds worth of DIY materials (That means the looting started before now sef) without payment and the following year arrested on the count of using a stolen credit card. In 1991, he fled back to Nigeria. He had 2 convictions for dishonesty in the UK, yet somehow, this same man assumed the position of Governor of the oil-rich delta state. What on earth happened to the electoral body? Oops I forgot, prolly the normals took place. Secondary to that, Ibori lied about his age as at the time of his contesting for office. While he claims he is 53 y/o, London officials say he is 4 years younger.
As a governor, his salary was just $25,000 per annum but how Mr Ibori could afford:
  • A house in Hampstead, north London, for £2.2m
  • A property in Shaftesbury, Dorset, for £311,000
  • A £3.2m mansion in Sandton, near Johannesburg, South Africa
  • A fleet of armoured Range Rovers valued at £600,000
  • A £120,000 Bentley
  • A Mercedes Maybach for 407,000 euros that was shipped direct to his mansion in South Africa
  • and was almost buying a private jet worth $20 million.
remains a real mystery. Infact most mysterious. Looted funds in Nigeria, arrested in Dubai, extradited and tried in the UK, Mr Ibori at least did enjoy first class flight services en route to his jail term.

Is his trial and conviction a plus to the UK judiciary system? Well, in some way. But it is the same UK that was home to Ibori's looted funds and assets. His children attend the most expensive private schools, and according to Det. Const. John McDonald, Ibori spent a monthly average of $180,000 consistently. How did a court in Delta state dismiss a 170-count charge on a former governor accused of "massive" corruption. A failure for the Nigerian Judicial system? well, I think so.
Here are some Comments by Erstwhile Nigerian leader of anti-corruption unit, Nuhu RIbadu
1) It was very clear that he was very very rich. He was Buying companies all over, he had a private jet, he had properties in SA, UK, US and so on.
2) In addition to Ibori's trickery, he always knew how to cover his tracks by pouring out large sums of bribe. In Nuhu's words "He offered me $15 million in cash, in bag sacks(I no fit shout)." Really? even the BBC reporter who was interviewing Nuhu was shocked at such an amount and went further to jokingly inquire how big the sacks were. When the reporter asked Ribadu how he managed to scale through such high-profile monetary temptation, He said 'There's no difference between $100, $10 million or $15 million, as long as the proceeds were not genuinely  earned." Well, we know 'Ribaba" has lots of integrity.

And to think the very man who aided and abated him in all this, is supposed to be a custodian of the law, upholding its very principles and ethics.  Ibori's Solicitor Bhadresh Gohilis this man, a top UK lawyer and partner in Arlingtons Sharmas Solicitors based in Mayfair.

The man lived in wealth and opulence, while the people who voted him into office perpetually live in abject poverty. For a man who could  hand out $15 million in cash for a bribe at one go, and to think he almost became the president of the FR of Nigeria, leaves one baffled at the rate of corruption in NG. there are sure more assets than those documented during his trial. But for once, I no fit shout!

A president, a Rapper and a facebook Co-founder. Hollywood should be having a new story line___The 3 Gayketeers.

Okay, Just some days ago, Barack Obama became the first sitting US president to openly declare his support for gay unions. Few hours ago, Jay Z discussed the gay issue with CNN, saying President Obama's decision to come out in support of gay marriage was "the right thing to do."

He told CNN...I’ve always thought it as something that was still holding the country back. What people do in their own homes is their business and you can choose to love whoever you love. That’s their business. It's no different than discriminating against blacks. It’s discrimination plain and simple.
Two of the word's most powerful and influential figures, both commanding a huge "fan base" and definitely a huge "cash base" have voiced out in support of gay unions. Guess what, both of them have my skin color___black. I'm definitely not discriminating cos I'm black too, but I always question "why always blacks". I believe our "inherent' ability to succumb under pressure sets us apart from other races. And then, both speakers have another thing in common; Both are married to women and Jay Z just recently became a blue daddy. If I'm to quote Jay Z from his song Glory dedicated to blue Ivy Carter in which he said "The most amazing feeling I feel / Words can't describe the feeling, for real / Baby, I paint the sky blue / My greatest creation was you, you", I would like to ask him if this great creation of his could come up if he was married to the President? Baby Ivy was made in Paris via the union of a man and a woman. Jay z slotted his disk into Beyonce's CD drive and it opened a file named Baby Blue Ivy Carter. That can't happen with a gay partner, can it? Well, enough said.

In a week which we see Facebook co-founders trending like the company's IPO buzz, Facebook co-founder and Jumo founder Chris Hughes is the one in the news this time around. Well, I think his involvement does vindicate Jay Z and Obama from my initial Judgement. (Warrisit? I'm just blogging Joor!). Madness is definitely revolving faster in this 21st Sextury. Only time will tell the normal from the abnormal. Chris Hughes and his partner (e hmm *coughs*) Sean Eldridge just recently gave 100k to Maine's marriage equality campaign. Funding "sin" is definitely becoming a good cause in this 21st sextury and this 27-year old is worth an estimated $500 million!(smh, see how $500 milla is going down the Gay drainage!)
The Bangor daily reports:Mainers United for Marriage on Monday announced the fundraising challenge from Chris Hughes and his fiance, Sean Eldrige, president of Hudson River Ventures and senior adviser to Freedom to Marry. The campaign will have until June 7 to raise the matching funds.

“Voters in Maine have a historic opportunity to win marriage at the ballot [box] in November,” Eldridge said in a press release issued by the Maine campaign. “We are encouraged by strong statewide support for the initiative and the top-notch campaign team that’s in place, and we hope that our support will motivate others to invest in the campaign. With numerous marriage equality cases heading to the Supreme Court, there is nothing more important than growing momentum and winning the freedom to marry in more states.” Fundraising efforts will include direct mail and email solicitations, phone calls(TF anybody that rings my line) and the use of social media, David Farmer, spokesman for the campaign, said Monday. Hughes is from North Carolina (God bless that state) which had just recently thwarted Gay unions via Amendment one.

I honestly think for once the words #Moneymadness should trend on twitter. Some important persons are becoming gradually sick.

Saverin Defends self: USA Ado Ok, but...........A case of Greed or Pre IPO madness??

Spokesman to Facebook Co-founder, Tom Goodman has stated that Saverin renunciation was prompted not by tax considerations but by U.S. rules that make it more difficult for U.S. citizens to live and invest overseas.“U.S. citizens are severely restricted as to what they can invest in and where they can maintain accounts,” said spokesman Tom Goodman. “Many foreign funds and banks won’t accept Americans. This was a financial rather than a tax motive.”  In a political environment that’s rife with talk of raising taxes on the wealthy and Obama's view that a thriving economy is built on a strong middle class, Mr. Saverin’s case could become another flash point. Should the US lower their standard in order to keep their own? It’s true many U.S. expatriates complain that American rules are making life more difficult and unbearable for them. Those include the U.S. tax system’s global reach (many countries tax based on residency); foreign bank account reporting rules; and the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA), which requires foreign financial institutions to start reporting to the IRS on U.S. citizens’ accounts. Well, I personally do think that if we have had a system such as this in my home country, then the case of James Ibori would not have surfaced. Its glaringly clear to the entire planet that the US have one of the lowest rates as regards corruption and money laundering. This is greatly influenced by the fact that the American system keeps a tight grip on all its citizen's financial records both home and abroad. Should Saverin's case now bring about an amendment of these rules? Expats say as a result of all the regulations, some foreign banks are dumping more U.S. customers. Mr. Goodman also cited FATCA, among other rules, as a problem for Mr. Saverin. Well, given the new global economy and the up-rise of foreign and international relations over the past decade, this may seem a bit of a problem. Saverin's move appears to be what it is. If Facebook had not announced its intention to start trading on the floor of the stock market, Saverin would have still been a US citizen. He might have foreseen the IPO coming and opted earlier to make his move.
My biggest question, Why has Saverin decided to turn his back on the very country that gave him access to the fortune he now controls. This dream began in America, blossomed in America, raked you billions from America and now you turn your back on the very source that gave you light? It is well-known, a farmer may have a seed, but without a good soil to plant it, there will be no harvest. America was the soil on which Saverin and co planted their seed, and very well they got a huge harvest. “His decision had nothing to do with dissatisfaction here, but with his strong desire to do business there,” Mr. Goodman said. Saverin's decision may well be putting Facebook's IPO agenda at a big risk. Already a "close your accounts and let them eat their IPO" outcry is beginning to emanate from some quarters.
People as wealthy as Mr. Saverin tend to have an easier time untangling red tape than the average U.S. retiree living abroad.  And given the fact that the country is just asking a little in return for the platform they have provided for you, after all the money was made off their citizens investments. Mr Saverin stands to gain a whooping estimate of about $4 billion when Facebook goes public.

Operation Ghost Click---You'll Likely not lose internet by July this year but......Estonian Cyber Criminals Apprehended by FBI.

We need a World with a better, safer and faster online interconnectivity. Cybercrime has and is always a bone of contention. Few know how dangerous it is, given that the daily average internet user normally spends most of their days on social networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Myspace and the popular e-mail provider Yahoo! However a group of Estonians didn't think so until they were apprehended. And to cap it all, the online theft machinery they put in place gathered them nothing less than $14 million. Almsot 350,000 people may likely lose internet this July. Well, that may look like a mini-figure given the ever-increasing world population, but given the fast pace of today's world, an internet-less day for one soul may result in loss of tons of information. So, just how can the IT world ensure that by July, 350,000 people do not get blocked out from the world?
Last November, Law enforcement officials took down a ring of Estonian cyber criminals that operated malicious software called DNSchanger. DNSchanger works by quietly changing the DNS servers in your computer, and then redirecting you to fraudulent versions of the websites you trust. In total, the scam netted the criminals $14million. DNS--Domain name system--is an internet service that converts user friendly domain names, such as www.facebook.com, into numerical addresses that allows computers to talk to each other. Simply put, it is the mode of communication between your computer and the very websites you visit on a daily basis. Without DNS and the DNS servers operated by the Internet service providers (ISP), computer users will not be able to browse websites, send emails or connect to any internet service. With this dangerous 'made in Estonia' malware", these cyber criminals were able to control DNS servers. As a result, unsuspecting users are forced to fraudulent websites, havinterference during their web surfing and expose their computers to various kinds of other malicious softwares.

An Update as of March 12, 2012 released by the FBI reads: To assist victims affected by the DNSChanger malicious software, the FBI obtained a court order authorizing the Internet Systems Consortium (ISC) to deploy and maintain temporary clean DNS servers. This solution is temporary, providing additional time for victims to clean affected computers and restore their normal DNS settings. The clean DNS servers will be turned off on July 9, 2012, and computers still impacted by DNSChanger may lose Internet connectivity at that time.
Another FBI Statement released by the Asst. Director in Charge Janice Fedarcyk, New York, November 09, 2011 reads: "The indictment, announced today, describes an intricate international conspiracy conceived and carried out by sophisticated criminals.
Working primarily from Estonia and Russia, the defendants effectively hijacked 4 million computers in a hundred countries—including half a million computers in the United States. Those half-million U.S. computers include those used by individuals, as well as computers housed in businesses and government entities such as NASA.
The harm inflicted by the defendants was not merely a matter of reaping illegitimate income. The defendants also inflicted the following:
  • They victimized legitimate website operators and advertisers who missed out on income through click hijacking and ad replacement fraud.
  • Unwitting customers of the defendants’ sham publisher networks were paying for Internet traffic from computer users who had not intended to view or click their ads.
  • Users involuntarily routed to Internet ads may well have harbored discontent with those businesses, even though the businesses were blameless.
  • And then there is the harm to the users of the hijacked computers. The DNSChanger malware was a virus more akin to an antibiotic-resistant bacterium. It had a built-in defense that blocked anti-virus software updates. And it left infected computers vulnerable to other malware.
In his 2005 book, “The World is Flat,” Tom Friedman was writing primarily about the globalization of the legitimate economy in the 21st century. As we have seen today, by identifying subjects in Estonia who caused a server in Manhattan to direct a user in Germany to a website in California—the FBI has proved the world is truly flat.
The Internet is ubiquitous in everyday life because it shrinks the world in so many positive ways: in commerce, in academia, in entertainment, and in communications. But it is a tool, and it can be exploited by those with a little know-how and bad intentions.
In this context, international law enforcement cooperation and strong public-private partnerships are more than discussion topics for symposiums. They are absolute necessities.
Today, with the flip of a switch, the FBI and our partners dismantled the Rove criminal enterprise. Thanks to the collective effort across the U.S. and in Estonia, six leaders of the criminal enterprise have been arrested and numerous servers operated by the criminal organization have been disabled. Additionally, thanks to a coordinated effort of trusted industry partners, a mitigation plan commenced today, beginning with the replacement of rogue DNS servers with clean DNS servers to keep millions online, while providing ISPs the opportunity to coordinate user remediation efforts.
To determine whether you have been a victim and, if so, what corrective steps you should take, the FBI has provided detailed information for you to review on our website, www.fbi.gov. It must be stressed, however, that users who believe their computers may be infected should also contact a computer professional.
Thanks, as always, to Preet Bharara and the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York; to Assistant United States Attorneys Sarah Lai, James Pastore, and Alexander J. Wilson; and to NASA Inspector General Paul Martin and his staff.
The efforts of the Estonia Police and Border Guard were, and remain, essential to this investigation.
Thanks also to the Dutch National Police Agency’s National High Tech Crime Unit.
The assistance and cooperation of many entities in the private sector have been invaluable in identifying the source of this far-reaching scheme, and in our mutual ongoing efforts to mitigate it.
The FBI’s investigation is led by Special Agent Milan Patel and his supervisor, Christopher Stangl. They, along with Assistant Special Agent in Charge for Cyber Dan O’Brien and Special Agent in Charge for Special Operations/Cyber Mary Galligan, deserve singling out for their cutting-edge investigating, their tireless determination, and their skillful coordination of this complex matter."
The authorities had no way to identify and notify those who were infected that they needed to disinfect and change their DNS, so they were forced to clean up and take over the criminal's servers to avoid a massive disruption in internet service to millions of users worldwide. However, this was more of a temporary move just to salvage the situation at hand, as the law enforcement officials are planning to take these servers offline in July. This is where the estimated 350,000 people could be badly affected."

Details of the two-year FBI investigation tagged Operation Ghost Click were announced today in New York when a federal indictment was unsealed. Officials also described their efforts to make sure infected users’ Internet access would not be disrupted as a result of the operations. For more details of this story click Here.

Facebook Co-Founders Making the Headlines. Saverin Throws away US Citizenship; IPO shaping Lives!

Eduardo Saverin, the billionaire co- founder of Facebook Inc , renounced his U.S. citizenship before an initial public offering that values the social network at as much as $96 billion, a move that may reduce his tax bill. Facebook plans to raise as much as $11.8 billion through the IPO, the biggest in history for an Internet corporation. The offering could leave Saverin, who once owned 5 percent of the company, with a hefty capital-gains tax bill. Saverin has sold enough of his Facebook stake that he doesn't appear in IPO filing documents that list shareholders who own 5 percent or more, though his holdings are still believed to be substantial. Saverin’s stake is about 4 percent, according to the website whoownsfacebook.com(I noticed something funny on that site, Saverin and Moskovitz are listed as Former employees. These dudes just left Zuckerberg to rack in all the billions alone?). At the high end of the proposed IPO market capitalization, that would be worth about $3.84 billion. His holdings aren’t listed in Facebook’s regulatory filings.
The Brazilian-born resident of Singapore is one of several people who helped Mark "Moneyberg" start Facebook in a Harvard University dormitory and stand to reap billions of dollars after the world’s largest social network holds its IPO .  "Baba" Saverin, 30, joins a growing number of people giving up U.S. citizenship ahead of a possible increase in tax rates for top earners. A record 1,780 gave up their U.S. passports last year compared with 235 in 2008, according to government records. A growing number of people giving up U.S Citizenship? Omg, how will a Nigerian seeking green card take such news. Its Heart-wrecking to know that what my fellow countrymen did an all night vigil for as at 30th of April this year ahead of the US Diversity Visa Lottery results release, is what Oga Saverin is throwing away. As at May 1st, the DV lottery site was jammed to such an extent that the site crashed, thanks to heavy data inflow from my beloveth Green-white country. What a wonderful world *singing in Louis Armstrong voice*. “Eduardo recently found it more practical to become a resident of Singapore since he plans to live there for an indefinite period of time,” said Tom Goodman, a spokesman for Saverin, in an e-mailed statement (Story!!!I just love this public relation guys; they make a "bad" lie look so cool by restructuring the grammar..Hehehe). Besides helping cut tax bills stemming from the Facebook, the move may also help him avoid Capital gains taxes on future investments since Singapore doesn’t have a capital gains tax. OK, But what if Facebook is overvalued at $96 billion?    Results of a Bloomberg investor on poll show that 79 percent of respondents say Facebook is overvalued at $96 billion as at May 11.  Will this move backfire at Saverin? Isn't it a bit shrewd to give up citizenship of the US? Renouncing citizenship is a complicated and lengthy affair involving a signed oath and an appearance before a U.S. diplomatic official, according to the U.S. State Department's Web site.
Giving up citizenship is an irrevocable act, the State Department says. Saverin won’t escape all U.S. taxes. Americans who give up their citizenship owe what is effectively an exit tax on the capital gains from their stock holdings, even if they don’t sell the shares, said Reuven S. Avi-Yonah, director of the international tax program at the University of Michigan’s law school. For tax purposes, the IRS treats the stock as if it has been sold.
Renouncing your citizenship well in advance of an IPO is “a very smart idea,” from a tax standpoint, Avi-Yonah said. “Once it’s public you can’t fool around with the value.” Saverin’s estimated gain, and subsequent tax bill, would be based on an appraisal by his tax advisers. They could have valued his Facebook stake at less than it will be worth once shares trade publicly, reducing his liability. For tax purposes, Saverin could say that the value of his stake should be discounted because of the potential difficulty of selling the shares while the company remains private. Saverin previously scuffled with Zuckerberg, his Harvard University classmate, over his ownership in Facebook. Saverin sued him and settled for an undisclosed amount. Seems Saverin originates from the Igbo-tern part of Brazil. lol.
Saverin moved to the U.S. in 1992, and became a citizen in 1998. He has invested in Asian, U.S. and European companies, according to his Spokesperson. He plans to invest in Brazilian and in other global companies that have strong interests in entering the Asian markets. “Accordingly, it made the most sense for him to use Singapore as a home base,” Goodman said in the statement.

The Young man is definitely not cash-shy. His U.S. holdings include Jumio Inc., an online payments company, and ShopSavvy Inc., a price-comparison service. Renouncing citizenship is an option chosen by increasing numbers of Americans. Income-tax rates for top U.S. earners will rise to 39.6 percent from 35 percent next year and rates on capital gains and dividends also are scheduled to rise, unless Congress blocks the increases. It’s a loss for the U.S. to have many well-educated people who actually have a great deal of affection for America make that choice,” said Richard Weisman, head of the global tax practice at Baker & McKenzie in Hong Kong. “The tax cost, complexity and the traps for the unwary are among the considerations. In a world where Men are trying to even-out the ever-widening gap between the Rich and the poor, tax laws like the ones applicable in the US seems more like a step in the right direction. But this is costing the nation its best brains and unless something is done to check this, it may just be the beginning of a mass exodus. The US economy is built on a very strong middle class, and this maybe where the answer lies.

Facebook plans to price its IPO on May 17, offering 337.4 million shares at $28 to $35 each. The shares will be listed on the Nasdaq Stock Market under the symbol FB. Morgan Stanley, JPMorgan Chase & Co. and Goldman Sachs Group Inc. are leading the sale.

Mark MoneyBerg: Gradually "Zucking" into Wall Street.

Okay, we know the story. How Zuckerberg and co turned ideas into fortune. Out of his college dorm room came an idea that let's me and over 250 million people worldwide keep in touch with old friends, memories etc.  A wise person follows this trend: You first let your idea make you money and then when you have got the money, you let the money make you more ideas. Its like a cycle. Zuckerberg's idea brought him the money, but now he is making the money work for him to generate more money. Nothing births money better than money itself. Same law applies to natural principles; a human can only give birth to a human.
For Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook's public offering is a "big big" turning point. It is the deal that will either prove once and for all that the company is changing just about everything, or that the mania over social media is spiraling out of control. Zuckerberg is becoming a familiar at the wall street doorways (Can't believe I'm yet to watch the movie The social Network (watch Trailer above).   Zuckerberg is gradually becoming a Who’s Who of Wall Street heavy-hitters, with untold billions to command. (Dunno why I keep seeing Warren Buffet anytime I watch Bloomberg: Makes me depressed. Lol. Just Kidding Buffet, wouldn't mind if you handed over your berkshire hathaway to me. I know you got kids, adoption aint that a bad idea).
Quoting NY TIMES "It’s May 7, a week before Mr. Zuckerberg’s 28th birthday. And, as Wall Street, Silicon Valley and the wider world all know, something big is coming. It is the deal that will either prove once and for all that Facebook is changing just about everything, everywhere, or that the mania over social media and this company, its apotheosis, is spiraling out of control.
Inside a ballroom at the Sheraton New York in Midtown Manhattan, Facebook’s executives, spinmeisters and bankers are choreographing its initial public stock offering. This is no mere I.P.O. It feels like a cultural event, a pinnacle in the history of tech, a moment. The deep pockets have arrived at the Sheraton for a multibillion-dollar sales pitch. If all goes well, Facebook will go public on Friday in an I.P.O. that could value it at nearly $100 billion.
One hundred billion dollars — for a company that, eight years ago, didn’t even exist".  I WOW at the very last statement. Pretty much reminds me of the Principle of "calling forth great things out of nothing" (Those of us who live by faith should understand that). How God created this magnificent world out of nothing. Very well then, I think its better to make something out of nothing than make nothing out of a lot(Wonder why people bear the title "Professor" and yet their names do not open the doors at Wall street. smh). So there's hope to us ward whose minds are still "blank", at-least we've got a great future. I know for sure Zuckerberg always kept to the principle of Romans 4:17b "who gives life to the dead and calls into existence the things that do not exist". He dreamt about it, he called it forth and it existed---Facebook Inc. Needless to say how much faith he demonstrated to pull this through, but soon enough, Facebook would be valued at $100 billion, a move that could make Mark Elliot Zuckerberg impossibly rich and propel his stake worth upward of $18.7 billion. Mr Zuckerberg will be for the first time in his 28 year 'money-infested' life, at the mercy of a higher power. A power that the top C.E.O'S of the wall street succumb to every single passing second, and a merciless and relentless power at that----The stock Market. How will He cope with this?

(We continue later...)

Work From Home: Does it get easier than that?

To Be Successful In Working Online From Home

To be successful in working online from home, there is more you should do than just have a computer and strong Internet connection. Remember that this setup is unlike the traditional office environment. You need to make certain adjustments in your working style, schedule, and even attitude to ensure productivity. There are certain working online guides that can help you perform well. Here are six of them.
1. Have a definite work place. This can be a spare room anywhere in the house or a space in your bedroom. One thing you have to keep in mind is that your work place or home office, as what others like to call it, should allow you to function with little or no distractions. It should be well-lit and -ventilated and spacious enough to accommodate your other office gadgets.
2. Determine your working hours. Though there are online jobs that require you to work during specified hours, some jobs allow you to work anytime of the day. Choose the time when you are most productive and be very disciplined. Just like in a corporate office, you are not supposed to leave your work when you feel like it.
3. Set daily goals. Doing so can help you identify your priorities and allow you to manage your time. Write your goals in a journal and see if they are met at the end of your working day.
4. Get away from online distractions. There are many of them really—social networking sites, video streaming sites, downloading sites, among many other things. Not only can they slow down your computer, they can also take much of your time. Consider this, the full 30 minutes you spend watching a video is possibly the same amount of time you need to type one thousand-plus words. And you don’t want that significant loss, would you? It’s not that you are not allowed to visit any of these sites; it’s just that you have to make good use of your working time and be as productive as you can be.
5. Take some breaks. The other extreme tendency in having a work-from-home online job is overworking. This is because work is just within reach and it is easier for you to spend more time doing it than relaxing. Working too much is not the way to do it, as this can potentially burn you out. Rest when you need to. Take your meal on time. Have coffee breaks.
6. Go out regularly. Since your job now only involves you, a computer, and a virtual community, you need to socialize and get connected with people. You can, for instance, have a movie date with your best friend or a slumber party with your former officemates.
While these guides can help you function well, much of your success in working online from home still depends on your perseverance, dedication, and patience. This then calls you to be serious with your job.
